How do I know it is REALY Organic?

Look for the certificating sign or for [GAIA] logo. This logo guarantees that the product was inspected by independent organization, according to strict legal standards.

Gaia’s products are cetified according to EEC regulation 2092/91, among the certifying body that we work with are IMO (swiss), QC&I (Italy), and Balkan BioCert (Bulgaria).

Important: It takes 3-5 years for a farmer to obtain “organic certification”. Since we wish to support our pioneer organic producers in Bulgaria during this long period of time, some of our produce is “organic in conversion”, which means it is in the last year of certification process. The “in conversion” products are grown without the use of chemicals or fertilizers and will soon get their certification. However, we charge you less for these products.
